The Market Moment Nobody's Pricing In

AI is making everything cheaper. Websites, voiceovers, design tools, content, automations. The floor is rising fast, and within the next few years the market fills up with more solutions than there are fresh ideas to market them with.

It’s easy to skip past the part that matters most. The businesses that just follow whatever AI produces, and call the output a product, start to blend into each other completely. When every tool costs the same and does roughly the same job at baseline, the tool stops being the thing that separates you from the next result on the page.

Three things still separate the businesses that make it from the ones that quietly disappear into the noise.

The first is brand and personality. AI can copy a format in an afternoon. It cannot copy a person. Who you are, how you actually operate, what you actually believe, that’s the one asset that can’t be replicated by the same tool your competitor is using.

The second is how you frame what you do. The default is to describe your offer the way everyone else describes theirs. The businesses that get remembered frame it differently, not to sound clever, but because a little mystery creates a little intrigue, and intrigue is what makes someone lean in instead of scroll past.

The third is taste. AI levels the floor so anyone can produce something that looks acceptable. The ceiling still belongs to whoever takes that output and pushes it further with actual domain knowledge, actual judgment about what’s generic and what’s missing.

This is a reason to stop assuming the tools are the differentiator, not a reason to distrust them. They were never going to be.
